Breaking News - Track Closures

December 4, 2007

Loveland, Colorado:  At 4:00 pm Monday, December 3, the Cloverleaf Kennel Club announced that it was closing its doors effective immediately.  The closure ends 52 years of operation.  Cloverleaf ceased live racing in 2006, but remained open for simulcast wagering.   Dwindling patronage and competition from casinos in Blackhawk and Central City were blamed for the closure.  Details of the closure will appear in the next issue of Greyhound Network News, due out in January 2008.
